Workforce Development Fund

The Montgomery Center of Excellence Work Force Development Fund empowers at-risk individuals by providing financial assistance to pursue vocational certifications. These certifications are in high-demand fields: Lineman, Construction, CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), Welding, Plumbing, Construction Management, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and Electrician.
In addition to financial aid, the program offers financial literacy education through partnerships with community organizations. This helps individuals develop the skills needed to manage their finances effectively and achieve long-term self-sufficiency.

Community Awareness Events
Fund nonprofit organizations so they can keep supporting vital local community programs
MCOE recognizes the vital role that nonprofits play in meeting community needs. However, many of these organizations are under-resourced, and a single unexpected event can significantly disrupt their ability to deliver essential services.
We provide nonprofits with financial assistance in two crucial areas:
- Prevention programs: Funds support initiatives such as Drug-Free Teen programs and economic development projects that aim to prevent community problems before they arise.
- Disaster preparedness: Grants are available to local organizations to help them prepare for and respond to natural disasters, ensuring communities can recover faster.
Who qualifies for funding?
- Established nonprofit organizations
- Can clearly identify specific program needs
- Have demonstrated community presence for at least two years

Veteran’s Impact Fund
Support our heroes transitioning back into civilian status
MCOE recognizes the challenges veterans face when transitioning back to civilian life, especially those struggling with the aftermath of traumatic military experiences. According to the VA Mental Health Suicide 2021 Annual Report, Florida alone lost 546 veterans to suicide, highlighting the critical need for support.
MCOE’s Veteran’s Impact Fund is a dedicated fund supporting nonprofit organizations that provide vital services to veterans but often struggle with resource limitations. The fund provides support for:
- Individual and family therapy: Helping veterans cope with mental health challenges and build strong support networks
- Healthcare support: Ensuring veterans have access to essential medical care
- Workforce development and economic empowerment: Equipping veterans with the skills and resources to succeed in the civilian workforce and achieve financial stability

- Registered nonprofit organizations that support veterans
- Demonstrate a need for financial assistance to help veterans attend vocational schools or workforce development programs
